London based Producer/Composer/Multi-instrumentalist James Knight was born in the North of England many years ago. Early to pick up the saxophone and four track recorder in the 80s led to music being everything and nothing else.A career as a session musician (mostly saxophone, some whistling) led to meeting Kirsty MacColl in the late 90s and Kirsty and James moving in together as well as writing what was to be Kirsty's last ever song together. After Kirsty's tragic death James eventually got back to music, the only thing that could save him. Two albums with critically aclaimed band Talc followed ("Sit Down Think" and "Licenced Premesis Lifestyle") along with continued producing, sessions as a player and writing, notably producing The Men They Couldn't Hang's "Cock a Hoop" in 2017 alongside RutsDC's "This Music Must Destory" Also in demand as a mixer James has had top 10 albums in the UK and as an educator is Professor of Saxophone and Professor of Music Production at London's Guildhall School of Music and Drama. James lives and works in London and he really likes you.
