The Alla Xul Elu is a horror obsessed hip-hop trio hailing from Ohio. Their masked madness comes with a catalogue of tracks that reads like a manifesto and the lyrical content embedded within is certainly not for the squeamish or faint of heart. Founding members Joey Black and Billy Obey kicked off their campaign in 2015 with “Head of Horns” and “Sci-Co: Volume 1”. Both quickly became horrorcore staples and were revered throughout the channels of the midwestern underground. Their follow up record “Necronomichron” in 2017 led listeners to a smoke-filled B-movie psychedelia. Shortly after, group member Lee Carver joined the fold and the group geared up for their first release under Detroit-based independent label Majik Ninja Entertainment. In 2018 “The Almighty” was released and garnered acclaim among horror rap aficionados. 2019 saw the release of “Church of Xul”, an EP full of the scathing religious takes and blasphemous imagery establish in the aforementioned “The Almighty”. In 2020 the group teamed with Detroit based producer Slasher Dave to craft the death-drenched and macabre filled “Mauxuleum”. The monsters behind the masks hit the studio shortly after and released a follow up to their “Necronomichron” record entitled “Necronomichron 2: Dead By Bong”. The group looks to continue their relentless onslaught of album releases and visuals in 2022 with multiple projects, streams and live shows planned.
