Bazil's production started with rolling tech D&B. Influenced by the nineties "tech-step" era, in particular the likes of early Virus & Subtitles, blended with his own unique sound that he has been progressively carving out since his early releases on labels Dispatch. Flexout, Full force, to name a few. Fast forward to the present you can see this sound represented under his alias Surgence. You can hear a new sound under the Bazil identity today. Expect Dubby infused half speed Drum & Bass with some electronic ravey influences. A new Album due out 30th June with guest vocalist Izness, Earl 16 & Spee via Dreadzone's Imprint Dubwiser. His previous tracks such as Ganjaman, Change and Must Be Free can be heard on Dubwiser Vol 1 and 2 compilations. Bazil has been supported in the past by Break, Survival, Ant TC1, DLR as well as BBC 1Xtra exposure from DJ Bailey. More recently Don Letts played Bazil 'Ganjaman' on his BBC show. The last decade he has been sharpening the dynamics to the Dreadzone Sound. Working as Sound Engineer and writing partner for dreadzone albums, also in control of the technology for the band. Whilst Honing his skills as a mix engineer, Bazil co-mixed the Top 40 Dreadzone album 'Dread Times' , & Dubwiser Vol 1 & 2. Currently he is mixing and writing on the brand new Dreadzone album. He has successful remixes behind him teaming up with Dreadzone on Dub Fx's track 'In My Head' Also a well received remix of 'Zion Youth' and 'Fire in the Dark' by Dreadzone.
