Biography

2020 tour for the March release "The World" has been canceled due to COVID-19 Head formed in the fall of 1999. The Michigan Spazrock three piece draws influence from the aether They recorded their self-titled EP at Sound Field studio in Michigan. They toured extensively following the release sharing tour legs with ATDI, Face To Face, Shiner and Helmet. In December of 2001 they returned to the studio to track their first full length album Headmusic. Recorded at River City Studios in Grand Rapids, MI the album was engineered by Joseph McCargar and Executive Produced by Bill Lamphiere. On the brink of a 6 month US and European tour, Benjamin quit the band to form When I Felt The Bullet Enter My Heart, with Scott Hickok and John Curtis of Moto. During their 8 year hiatus, Mike Luxford went on to play drums in goth-punk The Everdead. They released The Everdead E.P. and Statements which produced two European tours in 2003 and a tour of Japan and Korea in 2005. Brother Wolf rejoined in summer of 2010. Grand Rapids producer Christian Kremo recorded their return EP, Strike of the Golden Eagle. It was release in May of 2011 while on tour of the West Coast with Portland, OR based Peninsulas. In their travels they shared the stage with GZA, Helmet and The Velvet Teen. In fall of 2014 released Three Cheers. Head collaborated with Eastown J on A Song for Trayvon. Hunter collaborates with the Grand Rapids Hip Hop scene on projects with; Lady Ace Boogie, J.Rob and Dante Cope.
