Emerging out of Montreal, Canada, Sellie is a rising voice in the R&B scene. As a self-taught artist and producer, originally from the small town of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, her journey has been marked by her evolution; from humble, limited beginnings to ambitiously finding her voice. In 2009, Sellie embarked on her music journey — one that would transform her from a curious learner into a self-taught, multifaceted artist. In 2020, Sellie unveiled her debut EP, "Better Off" — her initial foray into music production. Far from resting on her early attempts, her artistry underwent a profound transformation in the subsequent years, culminating in another, self-produced upcoming follow-up project "The Venusian Trials.” Sellie draws deep inspiration from pop R&B legends she listened to growing up, like Janet Jackson, Mariah Carey, Mya, and Aaliyah, as well as modern stars like SZA, Tinashe, Kali Uchis, and Kehlani.
