WELCOME TO VOIRONLAND Since a few years, DJ and producer Voiron has been providing a breath of fresh air to the French electronic landscape. His first releases on underground labels such as Cracki, Concrete Music and Rave or Die earned him attention early on. He stands out with his completely unabashed musical universe, influenced by the Internet generation’s sense of humour and by a dreamy aesthetic that naively blends different genres. Rather than claiming allegiance to the more noble and revered scenes of electronic music, Voiron’s influences come from the ugly ducklings, these genres often sent to the back of the classroom because they are seen as too loud, too intense, too fast or not sophisticated enough. His sets revisit musical universes that complement each other: acid, rave, hardcore, gabber, ghetto and hard house, to name but a few of them. He invites us to dive headfirst into these genres through his own interpretation, by highlighting the immediate and irresistible impact of the one-of-a-kind live set performed by the Parisian producer.
