Miqāa EL began pursuing her dreams of becoming a star at the age of seven with the support of her vibrant mother Abena Hackshaw, who discovered her child's vocal abilities at just the tender age of two. With a monster drive to make her dreams a reality, Miqāa EL attended the Repertory Company High School for Theatre Arts where she performed in her school productions, gaining leading roles such as Janet Van Der Graaff in the Broadway musical, "The Drowsy Chaperone". As this young beauty worked her way up to the famous stages of 'The Town Hall for Con Edison's Annual Black History Month Celebration', and the legendary Apollo Theater for the Teen Takeover, she has also graced the Mic Check Wednesdays Stage at DROM NYC and Faces in the Crowd at SOBs. In Bringing sweet soul to each note that escapes her lips, Miqāa El has also played the Trombone, becoming an Alumni Trombonist in Jazz at Lincoln Center. Miqāa EL’s ability to focus and work with intention will serve her all of her life as she embarks on her journey as an Artist. With her new single No Smoke and her EP coming soon, Miqāa EL's intention as an artist is for others to see greatness in who they are and stopping at nothing, to achieve their ultimate life and career goals.
