Stage guitarist turned producer, Gabriel Maga spent most of his formative years in Vancouver BC, whose underground rock scene shaped his lifetime flair and affinities. Gradually transitioning from live performances to producing, and eventually immersing himself in the city’s beat-making culture of mid 00’s, he got entranced with the sound of the clubs, which led to producing and DJ-ing his own beats in Europe and Asia. At this juncture, he re-connected with the vibrant music scene in his hometown of Bucharest, where the eclectic mix of rock, pop and EDM laid out the canvas for further refining of his studio wizardry, producing national mainstream hits. These days he’s conducting his own electronic music experiment under the alias of UNKLFNKL ( it’s read uncle funkle) where he mixes electro with deep house, techno and slap house, hip-hop, and flirting with pop.
