Rapper D Gutta was born Derrick Williams in Bowman, South Carolina in 1991. While growing up, he took to writing raps/ poetry and making his own tracks at the tender age of 7 and often would get in trouble for writing raps in class and passing them around during school. He began collaborating with the rappers/producers of South Carolina and soon began to be recognized and respected on a worldwide level . He soon began to rack up credits at a young age going by his producer name "Tha Coalition", whose tag is recognizable and undeniable stating {"The Coalition-I'm Filthy"} After meeting Presidential Music artist and X Rated Mafia owner Devin Patrick (King Killumbia) and being signed briefly to X Rated Mafia, Derrick left to pursue an independent career slowly taking the rap and production game by force gaining credits to an already impressive résumé. Around 2014 he met his best friend and current label mate (Starling Jackson aka A.C.E. Da Phenom) through a mutual friend and rapper (Yung Skeetah). He soon became the in-house producer for Indy super label Simply Phenomenal Music formerly Phenomenal Worldwide. In 2017 Gutta acquired the title of VP of Operations in addition to releasing music as an artist and doing freelancing producing. He recently moved near Nashville, Tennessee at the beginning of 2019 in order to work on his debut solo album title "The Lazarus Effect"
