Born in March 17, 1984 in a family of artists, son of the sculptor Giò Locatelli, he grow up immersed in an artistic environment. He graduated in piano in 2004 (Musical Institute" G.Donizetti" of Bergamo) with the maximum votes ranking and as winner of the Mayer Prize, as best institute graduate of the year. He won several national and international piano competitions including the first prize “Città di Schio” and “Città di Gorgonzola”. «A young pianist of value, endowed with a particularly happy, powerful and precise hand» Marco Giovanetti. He began an intense solo career that led him to play all over Italy, touching all the twenty Italian regions, at over 180 different Municipalities exciding 400 performances. Among the most prestigious Italian venues in which he performed as a solo piano there are: Bergamo Teatro Sociale, Bergamo Donizetti Theatre, Venice La Fenice Theatre, Milan Friends of the Loggione of Scala, Milan Auditorium Verdi, Catania Theatre Bellini, Cagliari Viceregio Palace. He performed in some European countries such as Switzerland, Germany, the Netherlands and several times in the United States. In chamber music he played with various instrumentalists including Charles Vernon. At the age of 38 he has already recorded more than 70 solo piano albums. It has a vast and varied repertoire with over 1000 pieces. From Bach to Rachmaninoff. In the contemporary repertoire he is a transcriber of soundtracks (Williams, Morricone, Zimmer, Rota and others).
