With 30 years of dedication and commitment, Sari Simorangkir has become and is one of the most prominent, respected and celebrated figures of Indonesian gospel music. Started out as one of the lead vocalist of VOG and Take Off, she then embarked on her solo career and became a member of True Worshippers. Sari is the driving force of countless gospel anthems such as “Bagi Tuhan Tak Ada Yang Mustahil”, “Hatiku Percaya”, “Hati Hamba”, “Kaulah Harapan”, “BersamaMu”, “Karya Terbesar”, “Kudibri Kuasa” and “Terpujilah NamaMu Tuhan”. Her songs have also been translated and sung in multiple languages across the globe. Aside from gospel music, Sari has a passion for writing love, patriotic-contemporary songs for Indonesia through songs like “Doa Kami”, “Pulihkan Indonesia”, “Satulah Indonesia” and “Indonesia”. She is known for writing powerful, singable and relatable songs as she draws from personal life stories; which are complemented by her naturally powerful and consistent vocals both live and in the studio. A three-time Indonesian Gospel Music Award of Excellence winner, multiple AMI Award Nominee and her song “Kau Rajaku” was the first track of Israel Houghton’s Grammy-winning album “Covered : Alive In Asia”. Despite all the accolades, Sari believes she is only fulfilling the gift and talent God entrusted her with. Sari heads the praise and worship department of JPCC (since 2006) and leads JPCC Worship, as a producer, singer, songwriter, mentor and “mother figure”.
