DS Collective is formed in 2017 by Stefan Sajkovski (Sajko) and Aleksandar Drenkovski (Drenko) as a way to introduce new quality Macedonian indie music. The goal of this collective is to find quality artists that want to collaborate and tell stories through music. Unfortunately, Drenko had to quit the band in December of 2018 but remained a friend, a loyal fan and supporter of the band. DS Collective released one album, Jas Sum, Nie Sme ("I Am, We Are"). “Sakam da Znam” (I Want to Know) and “Povtorno Zamina” (You Left Again) were number 1 on radio stations in Macedonia for a month. The band adheres to electronic sound but are not defined by it. Because all of the members that are in or surround DS Collective are also in other bands, the style of the music varies from song to song. That is the real advantage of DS… you will never get bored listening to their songs. Sajko is the founding member of DS Collective. Before creating DS he was in other bands as a drummer, arranger, composer or producer. In his career he has made 5 other albums with other bands or projects. So when the time came to create something from scratch naturally it had to evolve in a collective of sorts as to give credit to everyone who supports the band. DS Collective has multiple live shows on festivals throughout Macedonia either as a DJ set or as a live performing band. The 2020 Europe tour was canceled due to the pandemic that paralyzed the music business industry.
