"Alvar Leredneza" is the stage name of musician and future biologist Alvar Alejandro Sotelo Rodríguez. In 2024, at the age of 28, he formally began his independent musical career by releasing a series of promotional singles that will belong to his debut album that will include his now resumed, reconstructed and remastered collaboration with the band Club Manchego in 2020 for the album "Remixes Para Robots". Between 2016 and 2022 he participated in Sociedad Subterránea's annual compilations "Antojitos Mexicanos" (volumes 11 to 17). The years prior to these participations date back to 2011 at the age of 15 while he was living in Belleville, Canada. He performed songs from the 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's under the pseudonyms "Alex Rodríguez", "Jamy-Lee" and "James Cyrut Devoneé" in bars. During 2014 and 2015 he traveled to different places such as Quiroga, Pátzcuaro, Uruapan, Lázaro Cárdenas, Zihuatanejo, Mexico City, Portland, Detroit, Warren, Toronto, Idaho Falls, Buffalo, Rochester, Albany, Brooklyn, Seattle, White Rock, Fairbanks, Anchorage and Memphis where he played with local emerging independent or improvised bands such as "The Friendliest Halo", "To Be Allowed", "Trainwreck" or solo under the pseudonym "Samuel Vann Grant" in clubs. The most emblematic compositions of his first 13 years and some collaborations will make up his debut album (still without a release date) on which the final details are still being worked on with Paulino Reyes Buenrostro at "Chinito Records".
