Biography

Daniel Tashian grew up in a musical family (his father opened for the Beatles at Shea Stadium) and began his own music career early in life. He signed his first deal on Elektra Records at 19 years old and his first album was produced by T. Bone Burnett. After his deal ended, Daniel went back to school to study photography but soon returned to music. He started a band called The Silver Seas who's second album did well in the UK and landed them a gig on the Jules Holland Show. Daniel co-produced Kacey Musgraves' critically acclaimed, Grammy, CMA, & ACM Album of the Year Golden Hour and co-wrote 7 of the 13 songs. Other past project include recent albums by Brett Eldredge and Little Big Town, Disney’s Frozen II, releasing his Grammy nominated children’s album titled I Love Rainy Days and most recently his second children’s album Mr. Moonlight and Blue Umbrella (The Deluxe Edition) with Burt Bacharach. Daniel has also produced for artists such as Tenille Townes, Jessie James Decker, A Girl Called Eddy, Trent Dabbs, Emily West, Lily & Madeleine, Lissie, and Sad Penny. He has had several sync placements including the film Our Idiot Brother, Pretty Little Liars, Nashville, and Reign among others.
