Riverside born, Central Coast raised artist So-Si is a producer, artists and writer. From his beginnings as a producer his goal was to create sounds that he “wanted to hear” and felt were missing as he listened through mainstream music. Throughout his production career he was often encouraged to record, having had a church choir background and several musical family ties (Little Richard being the most prominent of these) but shied away from the artist side of things in favor of background roles. However, upon recording for fun and writing purposes there began to appear a demand for his music that he could not ignore. He began to release EPs and singles hoping to find more people with whom his sound resonated and came upon Doc Clarke; an early 90’s era dancer turned manager and 1/3 of the label The Takeover Group. Alongside Hollyhood BayBay (a prominent Dallas/Shreveport public figure) and TheArsonist (an established producer) the kickoff of So-Si’s musical career has established itself as a future force to come through features with G. Perico, and Bishop Lamont with many others to come. So-Si continues to build his brand and following with fresh releases and visuals through The Takeover Group as well as independent projects with fellow artists, producers and brands.
