Born in Dallas yet raised in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Suave’s childhood and teenage years were spent playing football. A natural-born athlete, the now 24-year-old highschool team was number one in football. Music was always present, as he listened to artists like Lil Wayne, Ice Berg, 50 Cent, and G-Unit, though he didn’t recognize just how much he would need music until college. “I would just freestyle sometimes, it wasn’t nothing serious at that point.” The first project release is titled "Misunderstood", a work that provides various dimensions of Suave’s sound and style. “It’s just the story of my life,” he explains of the project’s title. “People judge me based on what they think they see, it could be a coach, a fan, or a family member. I’m explaining my actions here to be better understood.” Tracks like “Netway” serve as an upbeat introduction to his whole collective and the overall attitude, while crystalizing who NWG Suave is as an artist. Other tracks like “Zombie Town” delve deeply into his psyche. “It’s that part of my brain where thoughts reoccur over and over, and the song’s about me getting out of my own head,” he explains. Then there’s “My Time,” which he calls a “spirit booster,” setting the tone for the road ahead. Then “Tony Stark” harnesses all of the misconceptions that people may have about Suave, while simultaneously affirming that he still proudly stands out from the pack.
