Kikka Laitinen is a highly appreciated Finnish singer-song writer, composer and lyricist. Besides her own big radio hits like "Vaikka yhden keskikaljan", "Mä tahdon luoksesi tulla", ”Puut, linnut ja taivas”, ”Elämisen keveys”, ”Kanssa vanhan omenapuun”, “Sydän valvoo”, “Omenapuut”, Ei surullista” and “Onni on pienissä asioissa”, she has written several songs for other Finnish top artists as well. Her first own band was Gasoline Girls and Petrol Boys (1987-1992), a rock band playing songs written mainly by Kikka. Since 1992 she has been working with her group Kikka Laitinen Co. which is concentrating on her own rock and pop songs. Her songs are now available in a collection The Best of Kikka Laitinen Co. 1990-2000 and her 3 albums (2006-2012) form a successful trilogy called "Suomalaisia rakkaustarinoita" (Finnish Love Stories). The latest release was an LP/CD ”Puut, linnut ja taivas” (2018) that got fabulous 5/5 star critics from music journalists! Kikka Laitinen is constantly writing new songs and works as a rocker, composer, lyricist, songwriter and lecturer.
