Mesmerising folk-pop artist STAV. blurs the lines between singing and spoken word. Introspective and playful, her thought-provoking lyrics and emotionally-resonant melodies explore themes of identity across generations and womanhood. ​ A singer-songwriter and guitarist, she brings the songs to life performing solo or with her band, whose current members are Isaac Gunnoo on double bass and harmonies and Maddison Carter on drums. Including the crowd-choir in the live arrangement of some of the songs has become a much-loved soulful tradition over the years. She is currently focusing on recording some new music and enjoying the process of exploring music in different ways. ​ In 2022, she opened for Harry James Angus (formerly in The Cat Empire) on his national ‘Followers’ tour in Australia. She released her debut album 'The Horizon Line' then won the 2018 Folk Alliance Australia 'Young Artist of the Year' award and has since performed at folk festivals across Australia including Woodford, Port Fairy, Cygnet, Blue Mountains, The National, The Tablelands as well as in Spain, Portugal, Israel, France and Canada with official showcase performances at FAI Montreal.
