GWELD began DJ'ing at local clubs and events at a young age. With a passion for the harder genres, he always added a unique touch to his shows. After producing for 7 years and exploring various genres, he realised that hard techno truly resonated with him. The name GWELD is derived from the Dutch word "geweld," which means "violence." This is precisely the energy he aims to infuse into his music and DJ sets. At his debut performance as GWELD, he closed out Club BASIS during a talent night. This experience greatly boosted his confidence, and now he performs across the whole Netherlands, Germany and Belgium. His music is characterised by melodic elements paired with hard drums. The harmonies and sound design create a melancholic tone. His main inspirations are Klangkuenstler, Viper Diva, and Kas:st. Notably, his tracks have garnered support from prominent names like Trym, Dyen, and Nico Moreno. Stay tuned for numerous collaborations and solo tracks set to release in 2024.
