DONT TRIP About: Koboki 2nd project “DONT TRIP” goes to evolve on the previous mixtape “OUT(HER) SPACE” in a more grandiose fashion. Kicking off the mixtape with “OK KOOL” the song is a rendition of his popular track “SEE A GUY LIKE ME” Using abstract sounds created with his voice Koboki pulls from new outlets to make a more tropical vibe. Later in the tape on the track “GREEDY” Kobokii reflects on the selfish human nature to want more than needed and how he aims to let that go. The high octane track “KAPERNICK” blitzes through a melodic siren sounding beat reminiscent of a lifestyle lived when breaks are far in between chasing dreams. Juxtaposed by “DIVINE” singing about the difficulties of moving on and changing. Koboki tackles topics such as lust, addiction, betrayal, forgiveness, love, and acceptance all whilst maneuvering almost effortlessly through the changing vibes of the mixtape.
