YVES, born in Amsterdam, spent most of his youth in Almere. His connection to music was ingrained in him from an early age. He was introduced to R&B, hip-hop, and soul music through his mother's mixtape collection, influences that are clearly evident in YVES' music. Together with producer SHY, he manages to bridge the sounds of different worlds, which led to the release of his debut singles 'Lifestyle & Party' and 'Blijven Hopen.' This marked YVES' first appearance in the Dutch hip-hop scene. With singles like 'Dorpje,' 'In M'n Hoofd,' 'Medicijn,' and 'Gespreksstof' in 2019, he began to develop his skills and gained more attention and recognition from a wider audience. In early 2020, he released his long-awaited debut EP titled 'SADDERDAYS,' collaborating with his executive producers SHY and Clarx Kent to meld Neo-Soul, R&B, Hip-Hop, and Jazz sounds into a collective. After 'SADDERDAYS,' YVES continued to rise, subsequently releasing the EPs 'HIGHSANDGOODBYES' and 'GODSPEED,' solidifying his presence in the Dutch music industry. He has already made his debut on several major stages and festivals, but this is only the beginning.
