Biography

Dom Coyote is an award winning composer and songwriter, exploring the lines between electronics and acoustics. He was a long term collaborator with internationally acclaimed theatre company Kneehigh and now creates scores for film, theatre and performance projects. His unusual blend of electronica, acoustic and vocal music has led him to international collaborations from South Africa to Berlin and create musical scores across an eclectic mix of art forms and genres. Recent projects include the upcoming short by Adjani Salmon, Mai Jeruom (Film 4/BFI) The critically acclaimed Hamlet for Young Audiences (National Theatre), Everyman, adapted by Carol Ann Duffy (Miracle Theatre) and dance film The Neon Shadow, (Kneehigh, Tom Jackson Greaves) featured on BBC’s culture in Lockdown. Dom is co-director of WorkYourVoice Studio, an Estill Master Trainer and lectures in voice at London Southbank University. He is also the Artistic Director of Bristol based Coyote Collective. The company have created three major music/theatre projects to date – The Raun Tree (commissioned by Battersea Arts Centre and Leeds Playhouse), Songs for the End of the World, (Winner of the Origins award for outstanding achievement at Vault Festival, London), and his solo piece, We Can Time Travel (commissioned by Shoreditch Town Hall). They are currently developing a new project working with leading scientists and contemporary classical musicians, supported by Bristol Old Vic.
