Biography

Marina Krupkina (aka Marina’s Decacorde) is a 10 string guitarist and composer from Russia, based now in Smolensk. The music Marina composes for decacorde is based on both classical guitar, finger style acoustic guitar and electric guitar playing techniques, and sounds like a mix of contemporary music for classical guitar and progressive rock. Marina’s first CD was recorded in 2018 («But Does It Djent?..»), and her latest big work is «Decacorde Stories» album, released in 2020. Marina’s style of plying and composing has recently garnered praise from famous musicians and producers like Tosin Abasi, Mateus Asato, Mike Dawes and even Rick Beato, who included Marina into his video-list «10 Female Musicians You Should Know (2021)». From April 2021, Marina Krupkina endorses the Italian Luthier Davide Serracini and plays the 10 string Marina's signature model built by Davide Serracini.  Now Marina Krupkina is stuck into composing new music, going further and deeper into her unique style, revealing new sides of nylon 10 string guitar. Marina’s latest release is «Dream of Artemis» single, which has come out on July, 14th, 2021.
