Dee Black began his journey of music at the age of 16. Early in his music career he had the opportunity to share the stage with well known artists such as Nas, The Roots and many others. After turning down a major label deal he focused on his faith and decided to use his gift to inspire others. He is the CEO of his own independent label "Hisstory Music Group" which is home to Mouthpi3ce Plain James Chris Elijah and Germaine Martel. Black executive produced the Billboard charting album The Passover by Eshon Burgundy and has mentored numerous artists. Reaching people globally, his music has been categorized as "life music". It tells the story of everyday life and gives life to those who have no hope.
