Biography

Amelia Robinson is a musician, composer, performer, teaching artist, and entrepreneur from Brooklyn, NY who creates original interactive music experiences for large and small scale audiences. Amelia's music has been featured alongside Doug E Fresh, Matisyahu, Ashanti, and Jordin Sparks on the album "Songs for a Healthier America", as part of First Lady Michelle Obama's Let's Move Initiative with Partnership for a Healthier America and Hip Hop Public Health to promote healthy lifestyles for youth. As a composer, Amelia devised a multi-media interactive orchestral piece called The Cycle Symphony, that incorporates an audience of 500+ bicycle-bell playing participants. The Cycle Symphony premiered at the East End Film Festival and was applauded by Time Out London as their #1 Critic’s Choice earning Amelia a spot on BBC Radio 1. In the UK, Amelia has worked alongside award winning British composer Michael Nyman, the London Symphony Orchestra and was awarded Top 10 finalist for Jamie Oliver’s Big Feastival. Her series, Mil's Trills, was rated Top 20 shows to see at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2014. Robinson has released two all ages albums "Everyone Together Now!" and "Now That We're Friends..." (Parent's Choice 2014/15) with a third coming Jan 2018. Her first full length grown-up album, "The Space Between" dropped in Spring 2016, and her second, a LIVE album, is in the works.
