Biography

Montgomery, Alabama has never been a particularly large hotbed for hip-hop talent, but a young man by the name of LK Snoop is looking to change that. Snoop—born Chauncey Farris—always had ambitions to do more than others had gotten the opportunity to coming from Gibbs Village, a Montgomery neighborhood plagued with violence. “Staying alive is the number one thing in my city,” he explains. “Nobody want to see you make it out and they’ll kill you for trying. And coming from the side I’m from its right in the middle of all violence.” “After linking up with Eldorado it really went from there,” he remembers. Now signed to both Cinematic and Eldorado’s 2713 Entertainment, Snoop’s dreams are all starting to come to fruition. Back in November 2018, LK Snoop delivered Project Supa Star, a 10-track, Big Rankin-hosted effort with features from fan favorites like Yungeen Ace and HoodRich Pablo Juan. The tape, which shows Snoop at his most eager, has been streamed over 100,000 times to date. In 2019, LK Snoop is locked and loaded. Project Supa Star’s immediate follow-up, 1900 Block Opp, shines a new light on the young rap star as it shows his maturity across the board. His collaborations with Luh Soldier, RK, Rowezart and veteran producer Zaytoven are eye-opening standouts that prove the 21-year-old is just getting his feet wet. Now Snoop’s just anticipating his slew of upcoming tour dates and new blessings.
