This powerhouse of a performer can switch from a killer DJ set layered a voice that could have stepped out of the 1940s, to heart hitting spoken word. Since her last solo project, music production has been the focus. This year sees her uncovering a new Sound. A collection of neo soul vocals, jazz inspired backing and african rhythms with a backbone of Bristol’s underground sub spine. NGAIO draws influence from all walks of life, which can be heard through her music, word, and song selections. Whether delivering as a singer, lyricist, or DJ, every outing is grounded in journey, discovery, and community. From writing harmonies and leading choirs to promoting events as Booty Bass started in 2018 as a way to provide a platform for more female DJ’s. She has previously supported D Double E, Bugzy Malone, Lowkey, Little Simz and played multiple times at Glastonbury Festival, Shambala, Boomtown, We Out Here and overseas in France, Italy, Cuba and the US.
