Slaycub is the all-encompassing music project of Jacob Höglind, an artist communicating his ideas through the limitless medium of electronic music, not tethered to any one subgenre. Driven by experimentation, the goal of the project is to be an ever-expanding exploration of human expression, and to further the possibilities of sound and its vicarious messages. What has drawn him to the psychedelic realm of music is the dichotomy of dreamy and fiery elements coexisting. An intimate love for ambient music fuses with deep fascination for sound design and world-building, the result a catalog of exquisite creations. Each Slaycub set is a journey through the full spectrum of electronic music, applying his imagination to drum & bass, IDM, psydub, glitch hop, psytrance, deep 140, and blissed-out downtempo. His productions have been rinsed at Tipper & Friends, Okeechobee, Sound Haven, EDC, Solasta, and many other festivals around the country. He hopes to continue spreading his frequencies to the far reaches of the planet, and beyond.
