Dressed up like an angel while slowly slipping off a French opera’s ceiling, the barley 12-years old Mangiac early dives into musical adventures like here for Mozarts „Zauberflöte“ at the opera of Bordeaux, France. Raised in a conservative town in the heart of Bavaria, the French-German enjoyed an early and intensive classical musical education while singing in a well-known boy’s choir and performing at least 80 concerts per year throughout Europe. While shouting for rebellion in various musical constellations later on, he one day receives that old tape cassette from a friend with the simple hand-written title: „cosmic“. Although this „exciting mixture of simple techno beats and outer space musical sounds“ is torn after extensive use it triggers an under-the-surface-process and opens the door to a new musical dimension: electronic music. The gate to sound exploration is open. „Give yourself a chance to see it grow“ (Mangiac - Low) - Packed with inspirations after further years of intensive collaborations Mangiac publishes his first EP in 2018 alongside with live shows throughout Germany. His self-designed live set controller surface combines his musical requirements in a technical way while playing it „really feels like playing an cohesive instrument“. This said, the way of composing songs has more an more shifted from „mouse clicking on the computer screen“ to „playing and recording live until the song structure emerges from the natural musical flow“.
