Lady Laveaux was born and raised in The Ville (Louisville, Kentucky). She grew up singing songs by legends like Whitney Houston , Mariah Carey , Fleetwood Mac , The Chicks (Dixie Chicks) , Norah Jones , SWV , Mary J. Blige , TLC and the list goes on. Lady started off as dancer more than a singer at first. She dedicated a couple hours each day after school toward learning K-pop dances. Most of the time, however, she would just freestyle in front of the TV. Later, in her adult years, she diligently took on the hobby of attending dance classes around 3 times a week and learned more specifics about choreography and the body under her mentor. Around the age of 21, she started taking music more serious than just freestyle rapping as she featured on a few local artists tracks and even began recording her own songs (that will probably never see the light of day). It wasn’t until 22, that she took her music to the next level by releasing her first single Dark Side of the Moon. She immediately saw support from her surrounding community which inspired her to create even more. In 2023, Lady Laveaux established herself as an artist by releasing her first EP PHANTASIA and her first album 404 alongside a multitude of singles equating to 20 songs within one year. Lady Laveaux is always down to experiment with her sound and is never afraid of thinking outside of the box to make the best art possible with the resources she has.
