Rising hip hop artist, producer and engineer Lil Trip was born Brandon Reeves, in Nashville, Tennessee October 1995. After his birth, Lil Trip spent the first few years of his life in Paducah, KY. But moved back to The Music City with his mom and siblings and still calls Nashville home to this day. Lil Trip is one of 8 children; the oldest from his father’s side. Growing up and around so many personalities among siblings. Brandon became Lil Trip at a young age; a nickname from his grandfather. Inspired after seeing Bow Wow on 106 & Park growing up; Lil Trip knew that a successful career in music was his goal and dream. Lil Trip’s grandmother was an instrumental part in his future as an artist; it was granny who would play the piano so that he could freestyle and work on his verse and rhyme as a kid. Lil Trip played with the mixtape scene when he first started rapping his first project was “Trip 2 Success” hosted by DJ Drama affiliate and fellow Nashville native DJ Crisis. His first single release “Red Light” which had a crazy buzz with the high school demographic; featured Lil Chuckee who at the time was signed with Lil Wayne’s Young Money label. Over the years Lil Trip began learning more about the various sides of the creation process with his music; from the lyrics to music production, and even engineering. Lil Trip went on tour as an opening act for platinum selling Nashville artist, Jelly Roll on his “Crosses & Crossroads” tour in 2019.
