Mau Lynx is the product of musician/producer Josean Alicea. Based in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Mau Lynx delivers a Chill Wave/ambient/ghostly chillwave with 80’s synthesizers and melodic vocals inspired on those lounge tracks from the 90’s. Two years after the release of ¨Next Year¨ Josean Alicea takes Mau Lynx in a more dream pop approach to his chill wave style. The ¨dancy¨ vibes are still present as we listen to lyrics alluding to growing up, finding oneself and the hope for a different and brighter future. Incoorporating more organic bass sounds and guitar ambience to reach a fuller and melancholic sound, Mau Lynx dives into new territory, one that was already approached musically in his sophomore ep "Next Year", however evolved while combining a new mind state which helped reach a fuller song composition. Josean collaborated with other musicians (guitars and bass) for the post-production of the songs, as the mixing at Rochet Productions in San Juan, Puerto Rico, which helped in the constructioin of the final music and aesthetic product of what is ¨Fields¨.
