The Spy Agents is an Italian pop jazz band based in Rome. They play the famous James Bond's soundtracks together with the amazing vocalist Stefania Del Prete. The 007 Secret Agents myth have always had a strong appeal. They were astonishingly handsome, ironic, frivolous and brave at the same time. The core elements have evolved through the years: actors changed, as did the sociopolitical context in which the stories were set, allowing the legend to survive for over 60 years. But aren’t we missing something? MUSIC is the answer! Something we cannot see but as soon as we listen to it, it tells us everything about the picture! Through music we understand the atmosphere, we know about James Bond’s feelings, and we’re drawn into the action; it’s an irresistible call of the legend. This project is a tribute to all those composers and arrangers who made James Bond a legend. The arranger, pianist and keyboardist, Alberto Giraldi, has proven himself with this timeless repertoire, both respecting the original, but also putting his name to original arrangements. The rest of the band, Stefano Zaccagnini on electric guitar, Marco Vannozzi on bass, and Luca Monaldi on drums, provided their valuable contribution. The addition of a string quartet makes some tracks a gem in this project.
