Biography

John E Cab is a Philadelphia native and 1/2 of the production duo, Us Natives. He started out playing the violin at a young age before becoming interested in electronic music during adolescence. He plays several instruments and has been a songwriter and MC since 1997. He produced and MC'd the album "Subway Theory" by Bigheads before the group dissipated in 2010. John has acted in "The Beat" alongside Chino XL during which he played a mugger. The film was admitted to the 2003 Sundance Film Festival and was directed by Brandon Sonnier. John has also acted in a horror film directed by Francois Larosa during which he played one of the main villains. The film, "Garusta" and then "Aghora" was set for international release but was pirated by a member of the crew, which sabotaged the release to everyone's dismay. In 2011 John teamed up with Vibe aka ILL Clinton to form Us Natives and subsequently Us Natives Records. The duo has released 5 albums as well as compliation projects and an array of albums for other artists. They are set to release "Stereocillia", which will feature many MC's over Us Natives' beats. John has produced the album, "Raging Bullshit" for Vas as well as several tracks for Burke the Jurke. He has also worked with Mickey Facts, Kool Keith, Chino XL, Guilty Simpson, and many others.
