Co-founded the Vancouver, BC horrorcore rap group Hidden Fortress under the name Usdneedls alongside wrdwzrd, later nofutureface. The duo released Go Gygax Go! in 2008, White Violence in 2009, and both Third Eye Cyclops and All That Is in 2010. Usdneedls also dropped the instrumental album Audio Scientifico as a bonus to the All That Is CD, now also available for streaming and download. Then Usdneedls moved to Japan, changed his name to DJ Matto, and started working with Japanese MCs FREEZ, releasing digital underground in 2016, and NAB, with whom he formed the duo +/- and released one album and recorded another unreleased EP. He also provided remixes for a number of underground Canadian MCs and collaborated with Touch on the album Electric Sheep (2020).
