Hailing from Kingston, Jamaica Vortex Kapone migrated to Miami FL where he started his musical journey. One of the staple of Kendall musically diverse scene he quickly made his presence felt. Opening for such acts as 50 Cent, Marley Brothers, Fabolous, Pitbull ,Capleton ,Trick Daddy, Trina and a host of others. As an eclectic songwriter he's lended his talent to a few projects. One of these projects is a group called The Authority a band of brothers, united under one banner to show music can be taken into different dimensions. Hence penning and recording the song "TODAY" which blatantly pokes at everyday struggles woes that relate to everyone, Humanity! Vortex recently shared the stage with his brothers "The Authority" to perform Today at Marlin Stadium Loan Depot Park. It was put together by The Charity Group Nami the Miami chapter for a worthy cause #mentalawareness .2000 plus were in attendance singing along to "Today". Vortex also has two new projects on the way with his longtime collaborator Nick Fury HD a well known producer in Miami. Together they are D'CoLLeCTiV formally (The Collective) but pronounced the same. They are currently about to release Their EP God Pen compiled with six songs and Reparations 2 Hosted by DJ EFN, half of the successful #1 podcast Drink Champs with his partner NORE. Reparations 2 is the follow up to Reparations under the former group name (The Collective). The mixtape streamed half a million on the platform DatPiff.
