Producer, songwriter, engineer Ishmusic has worked with a variety of artists and producers since the early 2000's. A native Memphian, he earned a B.A. in recording technology from the University of Memphis, but long before that he was rapping, producing, and recording with his younger brother in their home studio, SonStorm Studio. His professionalism and ability to "service the song" has kept him at the top of his game over several eras. Working at Cotton Row Recording, he got the chance to work with Memphis legends 8Ball & MJG, 3-6 Mafia and DJ Squeeky. In the years that followed, he worked with Drumma Boy, Juvenile, Bushwick Bill. Even Gospel greats Edwin & Walter Hawkins and Dottie Peoples. As the new wave emergered the engineer/producer stayed connected, working with artists like K. Mchelle, Jozzy, Blac Elvis and Porcelan. His mixing has been widely recognized among his peers, including a Dove Award nomination for mixing and production and a Stellar Award nomination for mixing. As a creative by nature, songwriting and production have been the focus lately with multiple releases from several different artists scheduled for the near future.
