Biography

East Londoner, Drey Cheekz is an RnB songstress with sultry and soulful vocals. Cheekz is heavily influenced by artists such as Brandy, Jhene Aiko, TLC and more. When music was the dream she decided to pursue she hit the ground running in 2013 by writing and releasing her own material to the public. in August 2016 Drey released ‘Last Laugh’ a four track EP which introduced heartbreak, intimacy and feistiness in a cheeky fashion. With months spent hibernating in the studio, dedicating time and effort to her artistry it’s quite evident to say the work has been paying off and the proof is in the pudding. This brought on her second EP ‘Crossover’ which she released a year later in August 2017. The tracks on this project earned her radio plays on BBC 1Xtra, BBC Asian Network, Radar and more. This EP shows a different side to Drey, she says - The Crossover EP is my way of showcasing the range of variety in my style of songs and vocals. It’s a crossover of genres I enjoy listening to as well as a cross of emotions within the project also. I wanted to have fun with this new project, push myself out of my comfort zone, and do the unexpected.- She is continuing to write more music and work on releasing new visuals for 2018.
