Akira Akira, the 27-year-old producer and DJ from Los Angeles weaves a style that’s all his own, tapping into Electronic/ Dance, Reggaeton, Afrobeat, Baile Funk, and more. His diverse productions have garnered attention from Diplo & Mad Decent, resulting in multiple releases with the label, a Diplo & Friends mix, and inclusion in the last Mad Decent tour run of Japan. Apart from his success with Mad Decent, Akira has released on Good Enuff, Jadu Dala, Murky Rips, Interscope, and Main Course; the latter finding itself sound tracking the runway at Rihanna’s Fenty X Puma show at NYFW.
