A country as deeply entrenched in techno as Germany may seem like an unlikely place for one of house music’s fastest rising stars. However as Frederique will tell you, there’s so much more to German dance music than techno. He is part of a growing movement of forward thinking dance music nuts that eschew genre classifications, opting instead for making top quality bass forward tunes that have mass dance floor appeal. Ranging from dubstep to house and garage to breakbeat, Frederique has drawn inspiration from his years of consuming all manner of dark bass fueled madness and created a space where anything is possible as long as it’s making that ass shake. His unique style is lauded by industry giants: Malaa, Billy Kenny, AC Slater, Chuckie, Ghastly and Michael Woods are all supporters of this young producer’s dirty bass lines jams. In 2016 he even gained the mark of approval of the legendary Claude VonStroke, who handpicked Frederique’s “Talk” as one of the best of 2016. His music has appeared on Four 40 Records, Roska’s Kicks and Snares as well as what some consider to be dirtybird‘s European counterpart, This Ain’t Bristol. His DJ sets are every bit as dynamic and body moving as his crispy clean production. With a clear understanding of how to tell a story through music, Frederique continues to drop the heat both at home and throughout Europe.
