A member of the Lebanese electronica and techno scene, Eli quickly broke away from classical trends and created his own style blending organic and earthy sounds with analogue rhythmic patterns, creating hypnotic beats and melodies that have an impressive capacity to fuel both intimate settings and large venues with energy and drive. As a music producer and one of the first few in the Lebanese techno scene that perform live sets, Eli’s music career debuted in 2006 as a member and co-founder of the Lebanese band Awham Beirut, producing original Electro-Arab music. He then expanded into a a duo Indie dance project called Stripped (later known as STRPD), producing and performing live electronic and indie dance covers and original tracks on weekly basis from 2005 until 2020. Eli is also a member of the organic house and electronica duo Funkermonk, combining the traditional sounds of electronic dance music with techno electronica and ambient genre blends to produce original tracks and remixes. Eli’s uncompromising sounds have the distinction of being rooted in both the familiar and the mystical. As a producer and musician he playfully bends waves as an audial rendition of his uniquely organic journey. Eli has performed live techno and acid downtempo music at underground parties, festivals and big clubs in Lebanon. He has also released his original track “Distortions of Beirut” on “Groove Sensation Records”.
