Bastián de Luka crashed on Earth in 2017. Since then he lives and travels in space and time on board of Polo, his all terrain Van, transformed into a music & film studio, composing music and shooting the Tales of the Kosmic Monkey. Filmmaker by day, Dj/Producer/Composer by night, Bastián knows no boundaries when it comes to creativity and expression. Classically trained from a young age and with a passion for Jazz and black influenced grooves, Bastián creates music to be lived like a voyage into forgotten places. His interest in tribal and electronic music shapes his sound and style into a warm and textured collage of past, present and beyond, genre-less in its nature and ever immersive. Bastián creates musical journeys, living them at the same time, working on his tracks over weeks or months, playing all its layers on keyboard, using vocals found deep in the web, from African or Persian chants, street-singing kids in Madagascar, sacred chorals and chants, and his own recordings. As he lives constantly on the road, his tracks carry the energy of many places.
