LE0NE Biography — LE0NE is an emerging UK hip-hop and R&B artist based in Brampton. With a deep, melodic flow and frank bars underpinned by his signature English accent, LE0NE belongs to the rising wave of hungry young British artists redefining the UK’s hip-hop/R&B landscape. Born and raised in Cambridgeshire. He began seriously writing songs in 2018 - primarily as a reaction to comments from haters implying that he’d sponge off his father’s success for the rest of his life. LE0NE released his debut track, ‘3am Memories’, in July 2020. LE0NE views his music as therapeutic form of release and finds it important to make art that his friends vibe with. The rapper says: “Music is a big thing for me. It helps me get rid of my negativity and built-up emotions so I can prevail. I don’t sit and sulk about my issues. Seeing people connect with my music in a way where they relate motivates me too. All I want is for people to enjoy the music I produce. Motivate and elevate.” LE0NE cites the late artist XXXTENTACION as one of his main inspirations for pursuing music - not just because of the late rapper’s sound, but because of his positive impact: “I started listening to [XXXTENTACION] after he passed, but I relate to a lot of what he says. ‘Pain is a sign of progress’, for example.
