Biography

The Bulgarian soprano Dilyana Georgieva had her stage debut in the role of Violetta from Verdi’s La Traviata at the stage of the Stara Zagora opera in 2004. Following her successful performances of Violetta, Dilyana Georgieva is invited to stage Leonora from Verdi’s Il Trovatore, Desdemona from Verdi’s Otello, Gilda from Verdi’s Rigoletto, Michaela from Bizet’s Carmen, Elvira from Mozart’s Don Juan, the Countess from Mozart’s Le nozze di Figaro, Mimi from Puccini’s La Boheme and Tosca from Puccini’s Tosca. <br>Dilyana Georgieva was invited as a soprano solo for the premiers of Radosveta Boyadjieva’s Requiem for Bulgaria (New Bulgarian Music Festival, January 2008, Bulgaria Hall, Sofia) and Bruckner’s Mass No. 3 F-Moll WAB 28 (Bulgaria Hall, February 2009). Dilyana Georgieva is often invited by the philharmonic societies in Bulgaria to perform in choral and opera performances and solo recitals. The soprano had appearance at the stages of the opera theaters in Plovdiv, Varna, Rouse, Stara Zagora, Bourgas and Blagoevgrad. She also had solo concerts and appearances in France, Austria, Italy, Spain and Japan. Dilyana Georgieva recorded with the Symphonic Orchestra of the Bulgarian National Radio (BNR) and the conductors Metody Matakiev (Bulgaria), Georgi Dimitrov (Bulgaria), Valery Vachev (Bulgaria) and Andreas Hermann (Philharmonischer Chor München).
