GroundUp Studio was established in 2010 by friends Steven Gibson, Mr. Grey (FKA Vike the Villain), and Joe Ave. The 3 of them formed a crew of artists and began their journey working with other artists as they recorded their own material and Steven engineered the mixes. Eventually in 2012 the crew was introduced to Cody Nash (FKA ThatKidCry at the time). Cody and Steven became fast friends and accelerated the crews progress by recording and mixing HUNDREDS of different artists along the way. GroundUp Studio would go on to drop songs and help shape artists all around the city. The team created many solo projects and songs with the likes of Mposter, RizzleMusik, CeaSon, Fahari, T-Rell Baker, Suzie H, Xzayvieon, Jeff Dank, Mob Royalle, and many other local Oregon emcees. GroundUp Studio is described as a collective of artists who work in collaboration, a recording studio, and also a host for many local shows in the Salem, Oregon area. GroundUp Studio continues to record and be a source of music to this day. 🌲⬆️
