Fam we still just tryna make sense of it all on this side! I’m Josh. That’s my real name. But I’m better known as Josh Knight (not my real name). But when you think of a knight, all he is just a man who puts on his armor to fight for what he believes in…that’s all imma say about that! Im just a village kid from Nigeria born at Emekuku Hospital in Owerri. I almost didn’t make it here…but that’s a whole ‘nother story. Honestly I feel like I’m just a roaming transplant from a few places. When I was around 3 we went from ATL to Lincoln Nebraska, to Manteca California where I grew up from 13 to 19 before really finding my feet in music at college during my 4 years at UCSB (Ole ole ole ole). That shit changed my life. Now I live in SACTOWN!!Obviously having Nigerian parents, they weren’t about all that making music stuff. But I’m just following their example of turning dreams into reality. I don’t really know what genre my music is. My Dad had a killer discography growing up. From Bob Marley to Boyz 2 Men, LL CoolJ, Fleetwood Mac, Kenny Chesssney, Aaron Neville. The list goes on. But you know I was made from the Cudi, Cole and Ye era too with a lil John legend in the mix. I just like to make good music. I’ve done a few shows and even opened for the Munch Club Festival in Guadalajara Mexico in 2021. I feel like I’m just getting started and thanks for being here with me. We’re all on this journey together and we all got to light the way for each other 🚀
