It’s not easy to put Nashville-based artist Jon Worthy into a genre box. He’s equal parts rock, americana and pop. “I'm comfortable with whatever anyone listening to my music wants to call me,” shares Worthy. “I make the music I want to make so I don't care about genre that much!” His sound often hits like a fusion of Nirvana and The Lumineers. Worthy has had placements from several of these tracks with Netflix, Hulu, USA, FOX, Major League Baseball commercials, and a commercial by international real estate giant Savills. Worthy toured throughout the Southeast and Northeast in 2022 including dates at Musikfest 2022, Pittsburgh, NYC, Cincinnati OH, San Diego CA, Jackson MS, Louisville KY, and more! Worthy is beginning to release his 4th album in 2023 titled Barely Here. Most of the songs will be released as singles and packaged together as an album in 2024. Worthy did a crowdfunding campaign to raise money for his first ever vinyl record which will be ready for distribution in 2024. Worthy’s artistry is currently focused on his new duo project KJ Wild which features Worthy as a songwriter/guitarist/producer/vocalist alongside singer/songwriter Kiki Halliday. The group has been recording music and playing shows for about a year now and released their first song in the fall of 2022 with more to come in 2023.
