Studied piano when I was 15 for one year — nothing fancy, no music theory, but trained my fingers to be accustomed to piano. Became interested in DJ’ing and went to courses in 2011~12 (age around 16–17). Learned to DJ on CDJ-100 gear, and then for one year used Traktor Pro software to DJ with my mouse and stream audio online to friends. In one year, got the first controller Pioneer DDJ-Ergo, which was using since then for hobby gigs with friends. Got myself the DJ name — DJ NUO. In 10/2017 got interested in Kizomba and Urban Kiz social dancing and since then is passionate about it, and teach people dancing at different festivals and alike. In 04/2018 wanted to present the dancing community with my vision of what should be played on the dance-floor, and started DJ’ing in this sphere on periodic basis — but I still treat it as a hobby. Up till now I developed my DJ’ing technical skills to do it with 4 running decks using loops and hotcues + some effects + Ableton Push 2 (+Ableton Live) to record and perform live on the stage while having everything in sync via Ableton Link sync protocol. Yes, it’s nerdy, but I like it — I like doing things behind the decks, instead of emulating work. After starting DJ’ing for Kizomba and Urban Kiz dancers, I started creating my first Unofficial Remixes (Bootlegs), which posted on SoundCloud along with recordings of my Live Performances — DJ NUO SoundCloud Page.
