Lord of Rap

Biography

Born in East Denver,Co. [1981] Jumped on the mic for the first time for a middle school talent show in the 6th grade at the age of 11 by high school I was introduced to a fellow neighborhood peer by the name of Young Doe who was already producing and recording his own music in his studio in the basement I quickly took heed in the culture that I grew up in and loved as a kid (hip hop) I was initially inspired by my uncle to do music but to see a kid around my same age doing it on the same scale as my uncle and his band was even more highly influential I learned earlier on from 2 other friends (Innerstate Ike & Colfax Cac) how to format my raps into 16s and write hooks/choruses. Released my first single “Still Struggling” in 1999 then later released a mixtape in the height of the mixtape era “Street Representative” in 2004, following that up in 2013 releasing the Album “Lord Of Rap” while also being featured on a sleuth of records released/unreleased professionally while moving heavily on the local rap scene. As any other artists I have influences from majors that paved the way but was more highly influenced by the independent artists, with a huge influence from DJ Screw and Texas rap, Southern rap and the West Coast Gangster rap culture while of course listening to a lot of the pioneers from the Eastcoast. With taking from DJ Screw the love and art of DJ’ing, scratching and mixing on the turntables I have now started to embark into my new journey DJ’ing.. stay tuned!
