Biography

I fell in love with hip hop when I was twelve years old. I was bumping Basketball (feat. Jermaine Dupri, Fabolous & Fundisha) and Party Up on repeat after seeing the movie Like Mike, and I was straight hooked on rap music. It wasn’t long before I had the whole discography of Chamillionaire, Lil Wayne, Eminem — whoever was hot, really — pirated and packed into my discount store mp3 player. I always gravitated toward the lyrical side of hip hop… the complex rhyme schemes and metaphors from artists like Black Thought of The Roots and Royce Da 5'9" fascinated me to no end. Eventually, I felt inspired to try my hand at rapping. Being the broke teenager I was, with zero knowledge about how to make music, I improvised — I shoplifted a handheld voice recorder from Wal-Mart so I could start recording songs. When my parents weren’t home, I’d lay a verse into this $30 recorder in my bedroom with the instrumental blasting out of a crappy speaker in the background. I honed my craft all through high school, and in 2015, I dropped my first mixtape which included what is still one of my most popular songs, Project UT. A few years later, I collaborated on a song with one of the all time greats, KXNG Crooked. Since then, I’ve produced an album and performed on a massive stage at Burning Man. All in all, I’m a pretty regular guy. I have a job in finance, a dog, and a tattoo of a bok choy on my arm. I love food and tennis. I workout. It just so happens that I’m also a dope fucking rapper.
